The Golden Swan features two spacious levels, including an enclosed lower deck and an upper deck with a mix of open-air and shaded seating. The Golden Swan comfortably accommodates up to 60 guests cocktail style or 50 guests seated, offering a versatile and memorable venue for celebrations, corporate functions and private events on the water.
The spacious lower deck features 10 tables seating up to 6 guests, with flexible layouts that can be customised to suit your event style. Whether you are planning an elegant long lunch, casual cocktail gathering or themed celebration, the vessel can be tailored to create the perfect atmosphere. Guests are also welcome to bring onboard styling, decorations and selected event equipment to personalise the experience.
The upper deck provides a relaxed open-air retreat with sweeping river views, featuring two inviting lounge areas — one shaded beneath the sail canopy and another positioned at the rear of the vessel for those wanting to enjoy the fresh air. Bar tables and stools line both sides of the deck, creating the perfect space for guests to mingle, unwind and take in the scenery as you cruise the beautiful Tweed waterways.
Terms and Conditions
AGREEMENT TO LET AND HIRE
The Owner agrees to let the Vessel to the Charterer and not to enter into any other agreement for the charter of the Vessel for the same period.
The Charterer agrees to hire the Vessel and shall pay the Charter Fee and any other agreed charges, in cleared funds, on or before the dates agreed to and to the Account specified in this Agreement. The Charterer also agrees to sign the charter agreement before boarding the vessel.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A credit card copy is required for all charters on all vessels, and this card shall be charged in the case of damage, illegal activity, or excessive cleaning requirements.

CRUISING AREA
The Charter is restricted within the Tweed River and in which the Vessel is legally permitted to cruise.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PERSONS – RESPONSIBILITY FOR CHILDREN – HEALTH OF THE CHARTERER’S PARTY
a) The Charterer shall not at any time during the Charter Period permit more than the Maximum Number of Guests allowed on board

b) If children are taken on board, the Charterer shall be fully responsible for their conduct and entertainment and no member of the crew shall be held responsible for their conduct or entertainment
c) The nature of a charter may render it unsuitable for anybody with physical disability or undergoing medical treatment. By signature of this Agreement the Charterer warrants the medical fitness of all members of the Charterer party for the voyage contemplated by this Agreement.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR GUESTS BEHAVIOUR
The Charterer is responsible for the behaviour and conduct of their guests that they have invited onboard. Should the Charterers guests conduct themselves in a disorderly, offensive or violent manner, or be seen committing an illegal offence, or behave in a manner that the Owner deems inappropriate, the Charterer understands that the charter will be terminated early, all monies paid, and bond maybe forfeited.
The Charterer will co-operate with the members of the Owners crew if any guest’s behaviour becomes inappropriate and will assist the Owners crew with their requests to manage any issues.
ALCOHOL AND DRUGS
The vessels the Golden Swan and Captain Bills Explorer are licenced venues, no alcohol may by bought onto these vessels. The Owner is committed to the responsible service and consumption of alcohol. The Owner’s Alcohol Service Policy outlines the expectations of behaviour from its staff and Charterers guests.
The use or consumption of illegal drugs by anyone using the Owners facilities, property or boats, either ashore or afloat is prohibited.
The consumption of alcohol and drugs may increase the risk of injury around docks, water and boats and the Charterer accepts that risk. The Owner shall not be liable for any personal injury or death arising from or in any way related to the use or consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs.
PERSONAL LOSSES
The Owner shall not be liable for loss of personal property and goods of the Charterer whilst on the Owners property or boats.
CREW
The Owner shall provide a suitably qualified Captain acceptable to the insurers of the Vessel and a suitably experienced Crew.
SELF CATERING
If a Charterer chooses to self-cater their charter, they agree to pay an $80 cleaning fee. If plates are required these are costed at $4 per person and covers cost of plates and cleaning.
CAPTAIN’S AUTHORITY
The Captain has complete authority over the vessel and Charterer regarding the management, operation and movement of the Vessel. The Captain is not bound to comply with any order which, in the reasonable opinion of the Captain, might result risk, damage or loss to the Owner or Charterer.
Under Australian law, the Captain has a legal duty to maintain a safe environment. The Captain will take action in line with our ‘Addressing Disruptive Passengers and Behaviour Protocol’ if a passenger appears intoxicated or disruptive.

PAYMENTS & CANCELLATION
The Charterer shall pay:
- A non-refundable deposit within 7 days of booking to confirm the booking. By paying the deposit, the Charterer agrees to the charter terms & conditions, including the ‘Addressing Disruptive Passengers and Behaviour Protocol’
- The remaining balance of the charter fee 30 days prior to commencement of the charter.
- A security bond by way of credit card imprint to cover additional charges and fees, which will be returned once the vessel is released in an acceptable state.

Cancellations must be received in writing from the Charterer by email to: info@tweedecocruises.com
- Within 7 days of making the charter booking - 100% refund on deposit.
- More than 7 days after making the booking – forfeiture of deposit.
- Less than 30 days’ notice of cancellation – no refund on monies paid.
No refunds or credits are offered in the case of non-fine weather conditions (overcast, windy, rainy) that are considered to be non-dangerous.
Customers will receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to dangerous weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
APPLICABLE LAW
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia and any dispute arising or relating to the agreement or the charter shall be referred to the courts of New South Wales.
